The front dest personnel were courteous. The shuttle service was very good. The morning continental breakfast was excellent! Except for the comments (complaints) below, the value for the money was very good.
The smell in the room (I assume of the cleaning products) was overpowering and not in the good sense. The chairs had (dirty?) spots on them. The carpets looked old.

It has favourable position close to airport.

The shuttle service to and from the airport plus to locations downtown made it easy to connect with other day trips around the area. It had a new refrigerator, hd tv and microwave. This was a great plus for meals. The full breakfast at 7:00 A.M. was a nice extra. For the price it is passable.
We had requested a non-smoking upstairs room but the request had not been recorded when we arrived so we had to take an upstairs smoking room. The carpet had lots of burns on it and the room smelled because it was a smoking room. We could have moved to a non-smoking upstairs room the next day. Wish we would have.

Had very pleasant experience, overall gorgeous place.
There were a refrigerator, a microwave oven, and an air conditioning in the room, appreciated that...

Not far from City center, easy access to Glenn Hwy and Seward Hwy. Large room. Very good adjacent Chinese restaurant.
Not very clean, No proper place to sit and have breakfast. We stayed 3 days and each day there less choice for breakfast. Not enough value for the price.

Nothing flash about this one - stay here if you want somewhere cheap and nothing else. Only good thing was the Chinese restaurant next door.

Greatly enjoyed my nice stay for the price. Booked queen room with reasonable blockout curtains. The staff there were respectful and helpful. The hotel's location was unbeatable, short walk to major places and airports, and airport or bypass. Downtown Anchorage district was worth exploring.

The breakfast was surprisingly tasty, clearly a local favorite! The staff were super friendly. The shuttle service to and from the airport was a real gem, helping me navigate Anchorage with ease.
The room felt a bit outdated, and those plastic mattress pads were noisier than a moose on the loose. The gap under the door let in too much light, a bit distracting.

It was our first trip to Alaska and we loved it. the hotel is across the street from the Merrill Field Airport and it was great being able to see planes take off and land. We never heard any of them at night so it wasn't a bad thing. The breakfast that they serve in the office is good for what it is. It was the same thing everyday, but it was nice to have it there rather than having to go out and spend more money on breakfast when its already provided. We are very grateful to have been able to have the experience of staying at this hotel.
They should learn how to properly cook boiled eggs. After boiling the eggs they need to be put in cold running water to cool off instead of in the fridge to cool off. it makes peeling them easier. I think that is the only thing there is to say that is not positive but its really not negative either.

One of the guys from the staff literally breathes down your neck when you check your e-mail from the hotel computer (which is a free service) and while you are having breakfast if you are the last one, though these are official breakfast hours. It is very annoying and spoils all the good impression from the room and facilities. Somebody also called our room phone after 12 A.M.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the free shuttle was a huge convenience. Although the room felt a bit outdated and the mattress pad noisy, the breakfast surprised me with its quality. Definitely a solid choice in Anchorage.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly. Drinks were available in the lobby 24/7. Though not fancy, a satisfying hot breakfast was available every day. Wired internet was available in the room at no charge and was *FAST*. In fact, the connection was perhaps the best I've ever had in a hotel (~500 KB/sec). This made it a lot easier to get work done during my stay.
Being close to Merrill Field (airport), there's a lot of airplane noise during the day. Fortunately this did not continue overnight. The room I stayed in smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I have no idea if this applies to all rooms (i.e., whether or not some rooms are non-smoking).

Excellent hotel with great amenities like free parking, 24-hour reception, and airport shuttle. The staff even helped me with the best local taxi tip during my first visit. I'll keep coming back for all my trips!
